The City, County, and MRC UIWG representatives began the coordination of the November 19, 2002 presentation to the City Commission.  Sarah Ingle, City of Miami, stated the item has not been confirmed to be on the agenda, and the City was re-drafting the resolution, eliminating adoption of the plan in principle, and only focus on authorizing an Economic Study of the river corridor.  The revised City Planning Department recommendation to the City Commission has not been provided to the UIWG.  Brett Bibeau, MRC Assistant Managing Director, stated since the City Planning Department made major revisions to the plan in order to provide a positive recommendation for adoption, the MRC Executive Committee objects to removing the adoption by principle from the resolution.  

The working group reviewed and discussed the UIWG new duties, as stated in the Miami River Corridor Urban Infill Plan.  The UIWG expressed no objections to the list of new duties, which will be forwarded to the MRC policy committee for consideration on December 2, 2002.

The UIWG discussed the Urban Infill Implementation Step Timeline Matrix, which was revised per the UIWG’s October 21 requests.  The UIWG agreed to provide any final input to the matrix by November 18, 2002.
