    URBAN INFILL PLANNING GROUP MINUTES:

The Miami River Commission Urban Infill Subcommittee met Thursday, April 26, 2001, 9 am, Miami Riverside Center, 444 SW 2nd Ave., 10th floor conference room.  Jim Murley chaired the meeting.  The attendance sheet is enclosed.

 

 

Brett Bibeau stated his Urban Infill grant applications, $25,000 Empowerment Trust and $20,000 EPA, have been awarded.  Prior to signing the Joint Planning Agreement, the City of Miami requested $150,000 be allocated for the Miami River Corridor Urban Infill Plan.  The current awarded cash total is $155,000, consisting of $50,000 Department of Community Affairs Urban Infill Redevelopment Planning grant, $50,000 Miami-Dade County, $25,000 Empowerment Zone, $20,000 EPA, and $10,000 Miami River Commission.  In addition, approximately $80,000 of “in-kind” services have been committed towards the creation of the Urban Infill Plan.

Mark Woerner and Helen Brown, Miami-Dade County Planning Department are meeting on Friday April 27 with Clark Turner and Sara Ingle, City of Miami and Brett Bibeau, Miami River Commission, to finalize the Urban Infill Planning contracts scope of services.  The Scope of services will be reviewed by the Miami River Commission’s Urban Infill Working Group at their next meeting, Monday, May 7, 2:30 pm, 444 SW 2nd Ave, 3rd floor conference room.
