The UIWG scheduled the third and final round of Public Visioning Workshops as follows:

• “Lower River” (Biscayne Bay to the 5^th Street Bridge)

• “Middle River” (5^th Street Bridge to 22^nd Ave Bridge)

• “Upper River” (22^nd Ave Bridge to the Salinity dam)

Thursday, March 21, 2002, 4-6 PM
Miami-Dade Transit Authority, 3300 NW 32^nd Ave., Auditorium

Brett Bibeau provided the UIWG with information regarding the Economic Development Incentives (EDI) administered by the Miami-Dade Task Force on Urban Revitalization, for inclusion in the Plan’s list of available incentives within the Miami River Corridor.

Sarah Ingle, City of Miami Planning Department, stated the Planning Director, Ana Gelabert, has approved the selection of the third opportunity site rendering, the currently for sale “Florida Yacht Basin”, with the several adjacent acres of vacant land.

Kimley-Horn has stated the draft Miami River Corridor Plan will be available for review on February 22, 2002.  The draft will be immediately distributed to the City, County and MRC UIWG representatives.  The UIWG agreed to convene a meeting March 1, 2002, 9 am, Miami Riverside Center, 444 SW 2^nd Ave, 3^rd Floor, to discuss and revise the draft Plan.
