Review of 30% Complete Construction
Ms. Lavinia Freeman, Trust for Public Land (TPL), noted their
consultants, Kimley-Horn and Associates, are continuing their work on
the next phase of Miami River Greenway construction documents. III. Review of Draft Historical Signage Design and Mr.
Bibeau stated in November he met with Dr. Martin, Mrs. Freeman, and
TPL’s Miami River Greenway signage design consultant, Chris Rogers,

New Business Dr.
Martin informed the GSC that the City of Dr.
Martin recommended that more shade trees be planted along the greenway
planned for the Royal Atlantic development, instead of Royal Palms.
Mrs. Freeman stated palm trees would be used at the NEO Lofts
Greenway street intersections, but shade and flowering trees would be
planted on the walkway. Bibeau stated the Department of State’s Division
of Historical Resources, “Miami Circle Planning Group” was scheduled
to meet months ago to review the potential paths for the Miami River
Greenway on the site, which was unanimously approved in concept in 2001,
yet the Department of State has not convened a meeting.
